Ayyappa Temple	During Early 1970s,a few devotees of swamy Ayyappan joined together and conducted an Ayyappa Pooja in Manickpur Village of Vasai road.As the function evoked tremendous inspiration among the general public,the pooja was performed ever year in the nomenclature of "Mandala Pooja Mahotsavam" under the banner of Manickpur Ayyappa seva Samiti and the Samiti was subsequently formed in the year 1977 and got teh same registered under Bombay Public Trusts Act,1950 with a view to promote human welfare activities,inter-alia for spiritual upliftment of the humanity at large devoid of any caste,creed of religion.Like a ripple in the water,the samitis membership started spreading out tremendously to otherparts of vasai due to the enrollment of more and more devotes as its members the organisation was renamed as shree Ayyappa Seva Samiti,Vasai(SASS,VASAI).

Sree Mahadeva Temple	At present the samiti is engaged in construction of a temple dedicated to Sree Mahadeva (Lord Shiva) within the Sabari Giri Temple Complex.The temple is round in shape as in the case of most of the Shiva Temples in Kerala and definately going to be another Kohinoor on the sacred crown of Sabari Giri.The Prathistha and consecration ceremonies of sree Mahadeva Temple will be performed on 15th January,2005,coinciding with the the 10th Pratishta Day Mahotsavambeing celebrated from 13th to 16th January,2005.From the foregoing,it is evident that from a very small beginning the samiti has grown from strength to strength and reached to the present level.This would not have been possible for us,but for the blessings of God and teh unequivocal support and encouragement received from the Devotees.
