Gokhiwere Mithaghar is Located at Vasai(east)

Distance : Its approximate 2-3 Km from vasai station(east). 20-25 Minutes From Vasai Station by Rickshaw(It takes time because the roads are very bad for travelling, very few rickshaw agree for the trip).

This Area is Famous For Madhav Temple and Saltpans which are located in this area.

Large parts of Vasai-Virar went under water for about a week following heavy rain last July. Railway tracks were submerged as there was no place for the water to flow into, and services remained suspended for some days.

Every monsoon people from the low lying Gokhiwere Mithaghar saltpan area are used to the floods. Area located in low lying saltpan lands is submerged and it takes two days for the water to recede. There is some flooding in the area every year but this year is worse because there was 3 feet water in house and the water level is just not going down. Due to sudden downpour on sunday night Water levels started rising . Water entered homes, damaging Furniture, TV, Fridge and documents everything is gone under water. Meanwhile due to waterlogging in the area power supply was disconnected as a precaution.
